Release: February 2011
'Car mechanic Mercy Thompson has always known there was something different about her, and not just the way she can make a VW engine sit up and beg. Mercy is a shapeshifter, a talent she inherited from her long-gone father. She's never known any others of her kind. Until now.
An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River -- one that her father's people may know something about. And to have any hope of surviving, Mercy and her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need their help . . .'
Thoughts: I'm partial to this cover, taken with the tats, background symbols and model -- though the pose doesn't strike me as initially Mercy-like.

Dead on Delivery . . .
Release: February 2011
'There are two men who have bitten the dust after a delivery from Melina Markowitz. As she tries to put together the pieces of the puzzle, she discovers that the two victims share common friends, common unexplained absences, and a common crime. Now, dark forces from the local community have been unleashed, drawing Melina into the wed of a powerful woman, her voodoo, and her vengeance . . .'
Thoughts: The new approach taken with Blood Spells in comparison to the previous installments within the series has my intrigue lit. The visual elements indicating the voodoo within on Dead on Delivery, holds my appreciation for it's relation to the book - and I dig the subtle tones throughout.
Release: March 2011
'A man who shoots first and asks questions later…
Most people would take an all-expenses-paid trip to the beach in a heartbeat. Garrett Kelly only accepts to keep tabs on Sarah Daniels, who’s in hiding after witnessing a murder by Marcus Lattimer, her half-brother—and a personal enemy of KGI. This gig may be beneath a disciplined soldier like Garrett, but if he gets a shot at Lattimer, it will all be worth it…
…and the ultimate moving target.
But Garrett hadn’t counted on falling for Sarah. He’d considered seduction as a tactical maneuver, but when he glimpses Sarah’s dark past, he feels an urgent desire to keep her safe—even after she disappears on him. Garrett doesn’t know exactly who, or what, Sarah’s running from, but whatever it is, she’s running for her life . . .'
Thoughts: I like the green atmospheric touch, the smudged in dirt and the arms that could execute some serious damage with lethal intent or hold secure his heroine. And I can't help but think the green has a connection to the dude.
Where do your thoughts lie?

I like the colors on the Mercy book but not so much the model just doesn't say Mercy to me. I'm loving Maya Banks' covers ;)
I really like the jessica Andersen cover but I want to hipcheck the gal out of the cover and place some man-candy in it *shallow me*
I also lurb both Maya Banks covers *drool* Thanks for sharing the cover candy girl ;))
LOVE the new Mercy Thompson cover =)
The last one by Maya Banks and super sexy =))
xoxo
those are some awesomeness covers!!
Oooo I'm lovin' Jessica Anderson's new cover. It looks so different from the rest in the series though...
Tricia - I know where you're coming from. While I like the colours and the model, the pose just doesn't hit me with Mercy vibes. :(
Leontine - We can be shallow together. Gotta admit I do miss the man-candy but at the same time am quite taken with the female presence.
No problem! I consider it a goal of sorts... ;-)
Larissa - Agreed girl! ;)
Sparklybearsy - Aren't you glad I displayed them in all their awesome glory? ;D
VampFanGirl - I've noticed a bunch of covers diverging from the series look lately. I wonder who had the urge for the changes?
