A mind blank, a temporary break and what's your definition of unwinding?

*Mutters, shuffles some and steps up to declare.* The reason I haven't been blogging this past week?

I'd blame it on a hectic lifestyle, various family issues and the perfect spot of sudden amnesia, but no. I'll admit with the hard-core trait of truth: My mind needed a break. Some quiet time, locked behind a door with no interruptions. A chance to relax... possibly. The result? Not the amount I bargained for or needed, but posts will resume a more regular schedule from today.

Truth - check. All the others: possibly, possibly not.
From author Jon Steel who gives advice for business pitches.

And as the title of this post implies, I'm curious to know what your definition of down time is. Besides from books. What's your key to relaxing? It seems I've either lost the knowledge or simply never knew it in the first place. (Okay, years but who's counting? ;)

Keep your eyes peeled for book related news tid-bits, cover goodness (a slice of RS, PR, UF, ER and such with the odd YA), future books I'm craving and a possible new feature to be introduced.

I don't do it enough, but sometimes just getting outside, walking, pulling some weeds and letting my wander gives me the break I need. Now, when I want a break from the stress of life-- I read!
